Bobby Z Polka Joy Show aired on WYZZ (pronounced whiz) a powerful 50,000 watt FM station with studios located in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Carl Lucas became cohost of Polka Joy shortly after being hired. Listeners calling in said they enjoyed our witty on air humor. Broadcasting live from Church Picnics, Firefighters' Festivals, Bazaars, and Dance Halls soon became part of my show. Even businesses with special weekend sales promotions took advantage of my live remote broadcasts. BANG_ WYZZ was sold.

Polka Joy moved over to WMJW shortly after the sale. WMJW broadcast studios were located high atop Plymouth Mountain. WMJW daily music play list featured the oldies music which fit nicely into the musical tastes of this baby boomer. Frank Scooter Ceretta and Joe Talman were comical DJ's during morning drive time. I was a brief stint at Power 92. BANG_WMJW was sold.

Polka Joy moved over to WBAX 1240AM and remained there for several years. The show aired its original Sunday afternoon time slot. The move to WBAX afforded me the opportunity to gather experience from two respected broadcasters_ Bob Maley, General Manager, and Buzz Boback, Sales Manager. BANG_WBAX was sold.

WNAK_AM730 with studios located at Nanticoke offered to air my show upon the sale of WBAX to Times Shamrock Communications of Scranton. Airtime was offered on Saturdays because Sunday's songs focused on sacred music. WNAK was referred to as The Music Makers. Radio 73 often captured 1st place in the Nielson Ratings. A unique facet of my broadcasting days at WNAK was using the station's patriotic chevy van for remote broadcasts. The red, white, and blue colors with big WNAK logos were eye catching. My only activity in radio broadcasting today is lending my name and voice for commercials.
