The Theatre at the Las Vegas Hilton is defined by its crystal-clear sound and magnificent stage. It is known the world over as the last remaining great showroom in Las Vegas. It was here where The International Folk Festival was held in the eighties featuring Polka Star Jan Lewan and The Jan Lewan Orchestra.

I had the unbelievable opportunity to serve as Emcee. Jan Lewan is shown in the photo above with his wife Rhonda, and son Daniel. Jan was presented with a commemorative plaque on behalf of The International Folk Festival. " It was shortly after arriving here in America that I moved to Hazleton, Pennsylvania, where I first met Bobby Z. He announced me as a singer on The American Cancer Society Telethon." Jan Lewan went on to become the Polka King.

The Philadelphia Mummers Band strutted its way onto the stage with colorful pageantry that fit in perfectly at the showplace of the world. The two-day cultural extravaganza was presented by JRD Productions. A stellar show was rendered by all of the performers.
